Great environment at Habit
Puff fitness prides itself with finding great quality environments. Puff Fitness joined with Habit Health & Fitness in May 2015 to bring you an amazing environment to exercise in. This is what a girl needs for sure, a touch of luxury. A stunning view over the sparkling waters of Evans Bay, getting out on the deck to exercise, and using the fabulous equipment in the gym. All this to enjoy and you don’t have to be a member of Habit to soak this environment up.
A dedicated nanny
All of our postnatal classes will have a nanny provided to mind your baby! I know it is too good to be true – price is included. Just bring your baby with you and exercise with your baby in the same room so you can go to them if you need. We are so lucky to have this service. Porse
Education
Prepare for a dose of education in the classes and as you access the online content that Lynda has prepared for you. You will be informed all about the pelvic floor with pelvis models and pictures to show you. You will learn about pelvic floor safe exercise. And much much more.

Physios
We work closely with Women’s Health Physio’s. In our preassassments we find out who needs to be referred. There is so much that can happen to the core muscles and pelvic organs as a result of birthing ( c-section or vaginal). Exercise prescription is individual and is tailored to each womens pelvic health profile. NB: Women’s Health Physiotherapy is not included in the cost of the Puff Fitness Postnatal recovery programme. We show you over the first two weeks how to contract your pelvic floor and then you get to see on real-time ultrasound if you are doing it properly. Our physios offer this free service on week two and again on week six to see if you have improved your endurance holds. There is a Calling all Mums flyer which describes a separate service where mums can spend more time on the ultrasound, or focus on alignment, or get some more help with diastasis recti (separated abdominals). This service is a separate cost but is linked into my programme.
Lifetime value
Learning how to contract and relax your pelvic floor muscles is so important. We need to do pelvic floor exercise every day. This course gives you the confidence to know how to do it and see it happen! You will also learn about how to protect your pelvic floor during everyday movements and during exercise. This really is gold. Vouchers, a free dynaband and lots of reading and weekly emails from me with different topics each week! You will be provided with a nutrition voucher and also one for massage (vouchers are subject to individual gym discretion). Massage is great as a chill out and provides much needed me time. We also recommend you do this to help free up any tight muscles that may be holding you back from good alignment. Good alignment is key to good core connection!
Thorough assessment
Everyone is thoroughly screened by us to make sure they are safe to come into the programme. We liaise with a variety of physiotherapists and will refer you when necessary. All your fitness goals are listed. Your tummy muscles, alignment, core connection, c-section scars, breathing, blood pressure and movement patterns are all assessed and documented also a full birth account and past medical history. This is a very comprehensive check and takes an hour. This is essential before the programme starts. We follow you through with phone calls and personal training where appropriate throughout the programme and we make sure you are meeting your goals. You receive lots of support even when the programme is finished.

About Lynda
Lynda Lovatt, owner of Puff Fitness, Reps registered personal trainer, Registered Nurse and Winner Programme Excellence Postnatal Recovery programme, NZ Exercise Industry awards 2017. Lynda has kept on adding value into her programmes. She has set a very high standard after years of developing this programme. Lynda has focussed her attention to go deeper to find out and address the needs of the consumer. Attention to detail, deep knowledge base, and outstanding client care is something she is good at. These are the standards she will expect others who run her programmes to adhere to as she moves these live programmes throughout New Zealand and eventually online global. Lynda has over 13 years experience as a Registered Nurse before retraining in fitness in 2010. She is now a REPs-registered personal trainer. Lynda has completed her Advanced continuing professional development in modern postnatal assessment, core restore and functional exercise programming. She continues to upskill and keep learning.

About Cat
Cat is a reps registered fitness professional with a passion for women’s health and fitness. Cat is experienced as an F45 trainer. This means she is good at functional fitness which is what Puff Fitness postnatal recovery programme is all about. Cat has been working with Lynda gaining practical experience with her programmes. She is training at a very deep level in Advanced Modern Postnatal Assessment, and core restore and functional exercise programming through Burrell Education in the UK. This level of training exceeds the level that is required to run my programmes. Cat will become our Puff Fitness Master trainer, and will be able to train other personal trainers to run my programmes. Cat is also the mother of two children. She completely understands the demands of pregnancy and the importance of safely recovering your body post baby before getting back into that sport or gym class.
