The trainer

You will be guided through your eight-week programme at Habit Evans Bay by Lynda, the owner of Puff Fitness. Lynda has over 13 years experience as a Registered Nurse before retraining in fitness in 2010. She is now a REPs-registered personal trainer.

Lynda did her advanced continuing professional development in modern postnatal assessment, core restore and functional exercise programming last year. Lynda keeps up to date with current trends and is always learning.

Thorough screening and assessment

Everyone is thoroughly screened by me to make sure they are safe to come into the programme. I liaise with a variety of physiotherapists and will refer you when necessary.

All your fitness goals are listed. Your tummy muscles, alignment, core connection, c-section scars, breathing, blood pressure and movement patterns are all assessed and documented also a full birth account and past medical history.

This is a very comprehensive check and takes an hour. This is essential before the programme starts.

I follow you through with phone calls and personal training where appropriate throughout the programme and I make sure you are meeting your goals. You receive lots of support even when the programme is finished.

The environment

Puff Fitness joined with Habit Health & Fitness in May 2015 to bring you an amazing environment to exercise in. This is what a girl needs for sure, a touch of luxury. A stunning view over the sparkling waters of Evans Bay, getting out on the deck to exercise, and using the fabulous equipment in the gym. All this to enjoy and you don’t have to be a member of Habit to soak this environment up.

Lifetime value

Learning how to contract and relax your pelvic floor muscles is so important. We need to do pelvic floor exercise every day. This course gives you the confidence to know how to do it and see it happen! You will also learn about how to protect your pelvic floor during everyday movements and during exercise. This really is gold.

Vouchers, a free dynaband and lots of reading and weekly emails from me with different topics each week!

You will be provided with a nutrition voucher and also one for massage. Massage is great as a chill out and provides much needed me time. We also recommend you do this to help free up any tight muscles that may be holding you back from good alignment. Good alignment is key to good core connection!

Nutrition this is a big one for mums. In the class we talk to you about eating well for postnatal healing and weight loss and we give you a beautifully illustrated PDF for you to flick through at your leisure.

Education

Prepare for a dose of education. You will be informed all about the pelvic floor with pelvis models and pictures to show you. You will learn about pelvic floor safe exercise. And much much more.
